On April 9th, Arman’s family came together to celebrate his life by making birdhouses and hanging them along Arman’s Trail in Readington Township, NJ. This was the perfect way to honor Arman’s eagle spirit, which continues to inspire us every day and gives our hearts the wings to fly. While all of us respond to life’s tragedies differently, the ability to emerge with a greater sense of strength and new possibilities begins with HOPE. Thank you for joining our journey of HOPE and working with us to uplift the lives of at-risk youth so they can soar and achieve their dreams.
TECHSPARK CAREER PANEL BRINGS TOGETHER TECH ‘HIGH-FLIERS’! On May 12th, the Arman Roy Foundation partnered with United Community Corporation to host a free career panel for Newark high school students interested in technology. An inspiring group of successful tech professionals shared their personal career journeys, talked about the diversity of tech-related jobs, and offered insights into the skills and experiences required to build a tech career. After the event, dozens of students stayed on to meet the panelists and learn more. “We’re so excited to offer something different to the youth at West Side Park and the city of Newark,” UCC Director of Youth, Family & Senior Services Yucleidis Melendez said. “Many of our students are interested in tech careers. HOPE-IN-ONE GOLFERS TAKE SWINGS As in life, in the game of golf every shot counts and now hundreds of youth have a shot to soar high in life! With praise to all our volunteers, sponsors and 80 golfers, our Inaugural HOPE-IN-ONE Golf Classic at Watchung Valley Golf Club on Sunday, June 13th was a spectacular success! Together, we raised over $20k for the Volunteers of America (VOA) Bushwick Family Residence Tech Pods, which will provide a scholastic environment for over 90 school-age homeless children. On our score sheet, all our players took the top prize because of their commitment to change lives and carry forward Arman's beautiful legacy.
